Who was your client?
Joshua Briones, Vice President of the JET Program
How did you get your job?
I asked him overseas
Did you deal with the client directly?
I did not deal with him directly since he is in Japan right now
Was there some sort of compensation?
None
What was your role?
I created a flyer for him
Did you act professionally?
I worked very efficiently so I would say yes
Describe the work you did.
To make the flyer I took account for the people this would be directed to
Describe your creative process.
I used an inside joke within the program in which JETs who have been there for x amount of years are identified by a cute animal, where fourth years are pandas and fifth years are unicorns, so I made sure to add a subtle pun in the flyer
How often did you communicate with your client?
I rarely communicated with them
Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?
No
Were you able to meet the deadline?
I finished my work ahead of time
What was the feedback from your client?
They said it was cool
Did your client require changes?
Not at this time
What was your favorite part working with the client?
The freedom of doing whatever with the commission
What was your least favorite part working with the client?
There was too many things going on at once
Would you do anything differently?
I would get a client at a more convenient time
What did you learn from the experience?
I learned that using a color layer on top of a black and white layer makes a fun and colorful image

Who was your client?
Mrs. Allen
How did you get your job?
I asked her if she would like a logo for her classroom, and my other clients didn't need anymore more work done for their restaurant.
Did you deal with the client directly?
Yes
Was there some sort of compensation?
No.
What was your role?
I designed a logo for her classroom.
Did you act professionally?
Yes.
Describe the work you did?
I made the logo a building because it is a small business class so the shape of a building would be most exact for the class.
Describe your creative process.
A first I wasn't sure about whether or not to just put her name, but then I figured that I can incorporate her name into an object like the roof, and then make the words small business like the door.
How often did you communicate with your client?
I communicated everyday.
Did you have regular meetings to go over proofs or progress of your work?
Yes.
Were you able to meet the deadline?
Yes.
What was the feedback from your client?
She thought it was a very cute idea from me.
Did your client require changes?
No, but she did put ideas out there that would have been more creative, but she said she liked the simplicity.
What was your favorite part working with the client?
My favorite part was the free working ability to do whatever came to my mind.
What was your least favorite part about working with your client?
My least favorite part was the fact that i couldn't come up with all the creativeness that she did.
Would you do anything differently?
I would add a little more color is all.
What did you learn form this experience?
I learned that sometimes you need to give your ideas more thought rather than just doing whatever comes to mind.

Who was your client?
Mrs. Allen's business group Booms the Italian restaurant.
How did you get your job?
I went and asked to be their client, and suggested that I could make their logo.
Did you deal with the client directly?
Yes.
Was there some sort of compensation?
No.
What was your role?
My role is to help them create the image of their restaurant and leave a positive mark on the people's mind for their restaurant.
Did you act professionally?
Yes
Did your client act professionally?
Yes, they were very straight forward with what they wanted and what they wanted was a very simple design.
Describe the work you did.
I created something very simple with a design that is pretty easy to indicate what type of restaurant it is, and made the color scheme with the type of food which was Italian.
Describe your creative process.
I first started by picking a font that would match the theme and looked Italian. I then chose the colors which were a dark green and red. I put a little piece of parsley at the top of the M because I feel like Italians like to top things off with a little green in their food, and it also gives a hint to what it is.
How often did you communicate with your client?
I communicated with them everyday, because I wanted to make sure they were getting what they wanted and if I should make any changes.
Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?
They weren't really meetings but I would show them their work and they would give me feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Were you able to meet the deadline?
Yes, I was able to because they were already satisfied with the design at is was coming along it was easy to work with.
What was the feedback from your client?
They were very satisfied, and their expectations were set low, because they wanted a very simple design, so they were overall very satisfied.
Did your client require changes?
None really, just to make the name of the restaurant bigger and to make the parsley more defined.
What was your favorite part working with the client?
I loved how they were very straight forward and easy to satisfy.
What was your least favorite part working with the client?
I sometimes didn't like how the design was so easy to make because sometimes I like a bit of a challenge,
Would you do anything differently?
I would probably come up with a more creative idea, but I will always go by with what the client wants.
What did you learn from this experience?
I learned that sometimes you're not going to put all of your creativity out there if you are working for someone with a different mindset than you, but of course that's always a part of the job.

Who was your client?
Mrs. Allen's Fourth Period Small Business Group Sweet Mouth.
How did you get your job?
I talked to Mrs. Allen and she directed me to Charles Cheng.
Did you deal with the client directly?
Yes, I kept in contact with Charles Cheng.
Was there some sort of compensation?
No.
What was your role?
I was hired as a graphics designer to design a logo.
Did you act professionally?
Yes.
Did your client act professionally?
Yes.
Describe the work you did.
I designed a logo.
Describe your creative process.
The client requested that the logo was a pair of lips that were red and luscious.
How often did you communicate with your client?
I personally went to talk to my client.
Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?
I sent an early sample of the project to see what they wanted to be changed.
Were you able to meet the deadline?
Yes.
What was the feedback from your client?
They were happy with the design.
Did your client require changes?
Yes, they were generally fine with the first version of the design. The only major change that they wanted was for it to look more 3D.
What was your favorite part working with the client?
My favorite part would have to be coming up with the design.
What was your least favorite part working with the client?
My least favorite part would have to be the deadline, the date my clients needed the logo was when we were expected to start this project. I finished this project first, before I started on my classwork.
Would you do anything differently?
I would spent the time to design a font that would fit with the logo. I think that it would be good to have a logo with the business name along with a version without the text.
What did you learn from this experience?
I learned that it is a good idea to have ideas and samples of designs to show to the client so you can make changes and keep with their deadline.

What is branding? Branding is the name and image of a company that they want people to associate with them.
What is Identity? Identity is the image of your company that people think of when they hear its name.
What is a Logo? A logo is a symbol that represents a company.
Nike

I picked Nike for one of my brands because I own a quite a bit of Nike merchandise myself. I like the logo because it is simple and isn't restricted to a single color scheme. I think that Nike was a good logo to do because it is easy recognizable.
Google

I chose to use Google because it is easily one of the worlds most recognizable brands. Google has many areas that it influences, and their logo can be seen almost anywhere. The last reason I picked to do Google was because I use Google everyday.
